Kari Lake Offers Lamest Defense Ever When Asked About Her Past Attacks On Republicans

Kari Lake is still having a hard time selling her candidacy to Republicans in Arizona, and when she finally addressed her past attacks on Republicans in the state this week she managed to do it in the worst way possible. Instead of openly apologizing and admitting that she was wrong, Lake instead offered up an excuse of "I'm not perfect." Everyone already knows that, and what they were looking for was actual growth, which Lake apparently hasn't achieved. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what happened.

Things are going even worse for Carrie Lake's Senatorial bid in the state of Arizona. Not only did a new poll come out this week that once again reconfirm that Reuben Gallego is mopping the floor with her. But Carrie Lake is also suffering from a severe lack of Republican support in her own state, partially because she has spent the last two years trashing Republicans in her own state. And this week a reporter from M-S-N-B-C was able to catch up to Ka Lake and asked her this question. This was MSNBC's Vaughn Hilliard. Here's what Hilliard asks. There's been a lot of talk about you extending olive branches to some conservatives here in the state who you had spurned previously. My question to you is, do you regret any of your past statements about Republicans in this state? This, I mean, I'm actually surprised M-S-N-B-C did this.

This sounds more like a Fox news type question. 'cause it's like, Hey, we are gonna give you the softball that will allow you to hit a home run with Republicans in your state. You can apologize now. You know, I'm giving you the perfect setup to say that you were wrong to say that you apologize. So all you gotta do is apologize. And you get those Republicans back maybe right now. Carrie Lake. Oh God, no. She actually made the situation worse when she needs those Republicans the most. And here is what Carrie Lake said in response to that question. You know what? We're all human. We make mistakes. Occasionally I do as well. Uh, uh, uh, and I'm not perfect and I never wanna hurt anyone's feelings. But you know, politics is a rough and tumble game, and sometimes things are sad.

Do you regret your statements? Was the question? And she's like, I'm not perfect. Right? Nobody is like, we all make mistakes. But you're not even saying that that was a mistake. You're just admitting that as a human being, you inherently make mistakes as we all do. It's, that's literally what you said. Like we all do. I'm no exception. You were given, like, it could not have been set up better for you to be like, yeah, I shouldn't have done that. It was the heat of the moment. You know, I, I, I, I was misguided. I was angry and I said things that I didn't mean. And I'm sorry for that. And I hope in time I'm able to convince these voters that I did not, you know, that is not who I am. And that is not what I mean, all you had to do was apologize. And I promise you, you would've won back some of that Republican support that eludes you right now. But you are such a stubborn moron that you can't do that. Like Carrie Lake is genuinely, in my opinion, a very stupid person. Like she is not smart. And what's funny about that is it's not that, oh, she's not book smart, but she's street

Smart. No, she's even dumber when it comes to being street smart. Like she's book smart, dumb, but even dumber when it comes to like common sense, sometimes you have to eat a little crow. Politicians do it all the time. You have to humble yourself. You have to be like, listen, I messed up. Okay, I wish I hadn't done that. If I could go back and talk to my past self, I would slap them around and say, what are you doing? You idiot. These are good people and you're trashing them, but not carry lake. She is gonna ride this ship all the way down to the bottom of the ocean because that is exactly where her campaign is headed.
