YouTube Description
as posted by the channelAn appellate court judge in New York slapped down Donald Trump's latest attempt to get his trial delayed by delivering a ruling that was only one sentence long. The rationale for denying Trump's motion to delay was not provided, as the judge simply said that the motion was denied. This was one of Trump's last attempts to delay the start of his criminal trial that will begin next week. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

We are now just days away from the start of Donald Trump's very first criminal trial. And his lawyers this week have been throwing everything they can against the wall to see what's gonna stick. And one of the things they did, which was shot down within 30 minutes after the judge heard arguments about this, took 30 minutes for the judge to come back and say, yeah, I'm not gonna do that. So what was this very easy decision for that judge on the appellate court? Well, Donald Trump's lawyers, again, days before the trial set to begin, went up to the court and said, Hey judge, uh, we wanna change a venue because, you know, New York is very liberal. Trump is obviously a conservative and a Republican, and we just don't feel like we can get a fair trial here. So how about we just delay this thing indefinitely?
And we'll tell you later on where we want to have the trial. Because in their motion to get a change of venue, they didn't even bother to list other potential venues, where they could have the trial, which by the way, is something you have to do. And they just didn't do it because that's how bad his lawyers are. So again, it took the judge less than 30 minutes to come back with her decision saying, n no. Like if you wanted a change of venue, you could have done that literally any time in the last year, but you didn't. 'cause let's not forget, these charges in New York were brought against Donald Trump last April. So it has been 12 months that these charges have been against him. We have had months and months and months of hearings going all the way back to last year, where at any point Trump's lawyers could have brought up, Hey, New York is liberal.
Our client is not, they don't like him here. We can't get a fair trial. Let's move this somewhere else. Here's five different places we could try. They didn't do it. Which of course is why they're now in full desperation mode. They don't know what to do. I, I, I think deep down Donald Trump never thought it would get to this point. I think he honestly believed he would be able to continue to push these trials off indefinitely. He'd never have to deal with them. He'd become president again and make all his problems go away. I don't think he'd ever thought he'd have to go to court. And now he is a few days away at this point. And because his lawyers keep failing, this was not the only motion the judges struck down this week. It does look like right now Trump will be heading into court in Manhattan on Monday for his first criminal trial.
