CNN anchor Kaitlin Collins absolutely wrecked Republican Senator J.D. Vance during a live interview this week when she called him out over his hypocrisy. Vance was talking about how the campus protestors who broke windows or were trespassing should be prosecuted, and Collins then asked why he has raised money for January 6th defendants who did the same thing that Vance now says is illegal. This week, CNN Anchor, Kaitlyn Collins interviewed Republican Senator JD Vance, who for the record is widely seen to be a possible VP pick for Donald Trump this year. But JD Vance was caught a little off guard. Right? He was talking about how horrible some of these protesters are, and sure they have the right to protest on campus, but they can't break the law. 'cause if they break the law while protesting, then of course they're gonna have to face the consequences of that. And that is when Kaitlyn Collins decided to really stick it to JD Vance over his hypocrisy. And this is what happened.

Standard. No, let me, no, let me, let me answer the question, Caitlyn. I mean, look, here, here's my, been my basic argument about January the sixth. If you beat up a cop, of course you deserve to go to prison. If you violated the law, uh, you should suffer the consequences. But there are people who protested on January the sixth, who have had the complete weight of the Justice Department thrown at them,

First and foremost. Uh, full accolades there to Kaitlyn Collins, brilliantly handled. That's what you're supposed to do. Loved every second of it. Uh, second of all, JD Vance's response, right? Well, the media is so obsessed with things that happened. I was you two, three years ago. Oh my God, get over it. Guys. Like immediately becoming defensive, immediately resorting to be like, you are obsessed with this, like personal attacks, not actually defending any position. Right? And then he goes, well, I mean, you know, if, if they were assaulting police officers, but a lot of 'em are just walking around and, you know, that's, it is not fair. Actually, let me go ahead and point something out to you, jd, something that I know you already know, you're just choosing to ignore because it fits your political agenda. They're very presence, they're very presence. On the other side of those barricades was trespassing at a federal building.

That building was off limits for the day. They were legally not allowed to be there on those sides of the barricades if they stayed on the other side. No problem. Those people, by the way, are not being arrested. And you're like, well, if they assaulted police officers or, you know, maybe broke some windows, sure they could be arrested.
