In a campaign fundraising email this past Monday, Donald Trump not only reiterated his false claim that President Biden tried to have him killed when the FBI did their search of Mar-a-Lago, but he also promised his supporters that Biden's quote, day of reckoning is coming here, is exactly what Donald Trump had to say. Biden's day of reckoning is coming. Just like I told you. He tried to publicly torture and humiliate me, but he failed. He tried to raid my home and take me out with deadly force, but he failed. Um, okay, let's go ahead and say no, the FBI did not try to take you out. The language in that search warrant is the same as in any search warrant issued by the FBI. Uh, he did not try to publicly torture you. Um, you were publicly humiliated, right, with all of the trials you've been in over the last 12 months.
But Biden had nothing to do with any of those. So I guess if you're saying that Biden failed to humiliate you, technically you are right about that because all of the humiliation was done by state and local prosecutors. But the day of reckoning, right? That's, that's the troublesome part of this. The day of reckoning for Biden will come. The question is, what exactly does this mean? We know that Donald Trump over this past week has promised during an interview with Newsmax that he would jail his political enemies if he gets back in office. Steve Bannon reiterated that in an interview as well. But I don't think Donald Trump is talking about just simply imprisoning President Biden or just prosecuting him. I think as per usual, this is yet another subtle call to his base to go and do something horrible. Here's what I mean. He says The day of reckoning is coming, but he doesn't elaborate on what that means, which leaves it open to interpretation for his base.
He then lays out a series of things that Biden allegedly did to him in order to off his base, right? Get his base mad at Biden. He tried to torture me. He tried to humiliate me. He tried to take my stuff. He tried to kill me. So after those supporters read that email and see that day of reckoning, then this laundry list of horrible things Biden allegedly did to him, that's when they decide to take matters into their own hands. That's why Donald Trump's rhetoric is so dangerous, and that is why he uses some of the words and phrases that he does. He knows this. He knows what he is doing with these people. He knows how unhinged his supporters are, and at this point, he is counting on it. He's been counting on it with every prosecution that he's faced. That's why the judges get death threats. The prosecutors get death threats.
The court employees, the family members, hell, Michael Cohen's family was doxed this week. Anybody who speaks out against Donald Trump, he will attack you, attack you, attack you, and then his supporters take it from there. He doesn't even have to call them to action anymore because they just know that if Trump's attacking somebody, that means I need to go do something.
