A political action committee in the state of Florida called Florida Patriots. Pac is running a scathing new ad against Republican representative Matt Gaetz, who by the way doesn't even have his Republican primary till August 20th. And right before the filing deadline, he did receive a Republican opponent named Aaron Dimmick. And this political action committee has put together this ad, and this is what they're running on televisions across this district. Here it is,

Stick. That's about as poignant as you can get with Matt Gaetz. And of course, what they said in that ad, as far as we know, is absolutely true. Uh, you know, gates was good friends with Joel Greenberg that's never been denied Paling around with him. Greenberg has made these statements about Gates and the money they were receiving from the women and what the money was for. We have a witness that's told the House ethics committee, she specifically pay, or Matt Gates specifically paid her for sex. So that's a pretty damning ad. Now, the reports about this ad, which this is kind of weird, uh, they're not exactly sure who's behind this political action committee and they don't know who this political action committee is supporting, right? Is this Democrats doing it or is this people who support Aaron Dimmick, who are trying to take out Matt Gaetz before the primary?

Uh, but even if that's unknown, it doesn't matter because that's a good ad. Like it is a very powerful ad and it reminds people in this deep red area that, Hey, this guy's got problems. But if you still insist on voting Republican, you do have an option come August 20th. But there's another thing that I wanna point out about this. Before I had seen this story about this ad, in fact, shortly before I saw this story about this ad, I'm sitting down watching TV Tuesday evening, I'm on TNT, okay? So I am not on a local channel, right? This is not just a Florida specific, it was 7 7 30 in the evening our time. I was watching TNT, Dr. Strange seen it a million times, but I love it. It's a good movie. And this ad came on during the commercial break. So this group is actually thinking outside the box, which I have encouraged for Democrats for a long time.

Uh, yes, it's important to air the ads during the local news when most of your local residents are watching here, but you also have to branch out and put the ads on network television, right? Like the, the, the pay channels, um, cable channels, I guess they're still called. I don't know. I don't have cable. But anyway, putting this ad on, not a local channel is a smart decision. So I love what they've done with the ad. Uh, uh, I don't care who they're supporting. If they're supporting Demmick, I don't like that guy either. But whatever, it's a good ad credit where credit is due. Hopefully this has an impact with the voters here in northwest Florida.
