4:17Now PlayingThe Democratic Party's fundraising apparatus - ActBlue - reportedly raised more than $66 million in the 24 hours after President Biden announced that he would be dropping out of the presidential race. The vast majority of that came from small dollar donors, too! This is a great sign for the Democratic Party, and something that is striking fear into the hearts of Republicans all over the country. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

If you needed any evidence to really drive home the fact that yes, those people calling for Biden to step down were right. Then consider the fact that in the 24 hours after President Biden announced that he was dropping outta the Presidential Race Act, blew the fundraising apparatus for the Democratic Party raised $66 million, $66 million in under 24 hours, a new record for the Democratic Party in single day donations. Not to mention the fact that a vast majority of that, at least 47 million of the 66 million actually came from small dollar grassroots donors. And to add to that $66 million, big dollar Democratic donors also pledged to pour in an additional $150 million between now and election day to support the Democratic Party. So we can go ahead and do the quick math on that. That's a guaranteed what, $216 million from now until November 5th for the Democratic Party. That's a massive haul and all of that, the firm donations and the pledged donations to come in the future, all of it happened within 24 hours of President Biden doing the right thing for the country and for his party and stepping down.
You can't argue with those numbers. You can't come at us with any kind of, you know, retort to $216 million in a day. We were already at a point we're about 80%. Little under 80% of Democrats were ready for President Biden to drop out. Okay? Last few weeks. We've been taking a lot of crap here. I have been getting emails, I have been getting dms even on Instagram from angry people saying, how dare you call for Biden to drop out? Like, how dare I want a better candidate for the Democratic Party so that we can definitely win. And yeah, I, I am gonna be a little braggadocious here. We were right, y'all were wrong. Now let's move on. We obviously still have a fight ahead of us, but it's a fight that now people believe in, whereas they didn't believe in it a few weeks ago. That's why this money is pouring in. It's not because, oh hell yeah, no, Biden take my money. It's because now they think there's a fight. Now they think there is a chance to win and people are more energized. That's what we wanted. That was the whole point of this. It wasn't because we hated Biden. It was because we needed a fighter. We needed
Somebody that was up to the fight. And Biden just won't that guy anymore. So it is time to band together. We do need to find a strong nominee. I know Kamala Harris is the presumptive nominee at this point. Uh, that should not be written in stone. We should have an open primary or an open convention, I guess. And if she gets the delegates, then hell yeah, I'm behind her a hundred percent. I never believe in anointing anybody, you know, as the defacto person, that typically doesn't end well. But if she legitimately wins the votes, which now it appears that she likely will, I will rally behind her. I will support her, and I will vote for her in November. And that's where we need to be as a party. The fight about whether Biden should stay or go is over. It is now time for us to unite together and defeat Donald Trump and the Republican party's agenda.
