3:40Now PlayingDonald Trump has spent the entire week demanding answers about President Biden's mental fitness to serve out the remainder of his term, and plenty of Republican leaders have already called for Biden's resignation. But they are overplaying their hand by beating a dead horse - or, in this case, a lame duck president - and the public isn't going to care about Biden today when they have already been looking at what's going to happen tomorrow (meaning the election.) Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

Donald Trump has spent the entire week freaking out on truth social about having to run against Kamala Harris and no longer getting the, you know, benefit of getting to run against President Biden. But Trump has decided that he's still going to talk about President Biden every single opportunity he can, even though Biden's no longer his political opponent. And at this point, voters are starting to get a little fatigued at the fact that Donald Trump won't shut up about the guy that he's not running against. It's starting to get on their nerves and they don't like it. In other words, Donald Trump has overplayed his hand because he doesn't know how to handle the fact that he's now running against Harris. Here's a post that Donald Trump had put on social media on Tuesday when he said, does Lion Kamala Harris think Joe Biden is fit to run the USA for the next six months? She must answer the question.
I mean, ob obviously she does. She hasn't said that he should resign. Not to mention the fact that there's no indication that President Biden can't run the country for the next six months. But again, this plays into the Republican talking point, that if he can't run for president, then he can't be president. And yes, he actually can. We have not seen anything in any of the decisions, any of the bills that Biden assigned or any of the executive orders that would indicate that he is not able to do the job. So there's that. But more importantly, what's happening with American voters right now, which is what's been happening for a month or so, is that they're no longer focused on the present. And I know that's a weird thing to say, but it's what's happening. Voters are now, because we are so close to the election, you know, a hundred days out, they're looking to the future.
What's gonna happen this time next year? They're not worried about what's gonna happen tomorrow as much as they are, what's gonna happen in November and beyond. So for Donald Trump to continue going out there and just hammering Biden and he's unfit, he's unfit, I don't like him, he's so mean to me, voters are gonna be like, okay, dude, we get it. We, we don't care because he's gone in six months. President Biden is officially a lame duck president. Nobody gives a about the lame duck, guys. But that's what Republicans don't understand. And honestly, the Democrats can use that to their advantage. While Republicans are over here beating a dead horse, Democrats can offer a new vision for the country, a new direction for the country, new optimism, new hope, a new sense of, hey, things are not as bad as they could be. And Trump's gonna keep beating up. Biden beaten him up 'cause he is not cognitively all there, even though President Biden has not done a single thing cognitively that Donald Trump has
Not been doing for many, many years. So the more Trump wants to focus on Biden's mental health, the more it's gonna remind people that Trump's mental health is also not all there. So keep going down this path, bud, because I promise you this is a path to that does not end in victory for you. Come November.
