4:52Now PlayingAccording to a new poll, most voters believe that Kamala Harris is going to win this year’s election. What’s more remarkable is the fact that there are a small but decent amount of Trump supporters who agree that Harris is going to clobber Trump. That may not seem important since they plan on voting for Trump anyway, but what it shows us is that there are still people who won’t fall for his election lies if he loses. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins discusses this.

So a very fun new poll came out just a few days ago from a group called Qantas Polling, and this poll found that as it stands right now, again, according to this one group, 49% of voters say they're gonna vote for Kamala. 47% say they're voting for Donald. So Harris has a two point lead that's not interesting. What is interesting is the follow up to that, because even though there's a 49 to 47 split in this poll right now, 52% of respondents believe that Harris will be victorious while 48% thought Trump would win. Wait a minute, those numbers are not identical, right? I mean, if you have 49 to 47, but then you have 52 to 48, something different has happened here, it goes on to say, this means that 3% of respondents who wouldn't vote for Harris still believe that she's gonna win. So 3% of people who say, I absolutely will not vote for her no matter what, but hell yes, she's gonna win.
That might be as small as it is, right? 3%, that's not a ton, but that might be the most embarrassing thing that has happened to Donald Trump in any of the polls that we have seen come out in the last month and a half. 3% of people who say, I will never, no matter what, vote for that woman right there, absolutely not God. No. Well, who do you think is gonna win? Oh, she's got this in the back. Hell yeah, like there's no doubt about it. She is going to be the next president of the United States, but I'm, I'm mad about it, but she is crushing it right now.
So even the people who will not vote for Kamala Harris seem enthusiastic about her odds of winning, even if it's not an enthusiasm that they like, like it's not an optimistic enthusiasm. It's a pessimistic enthusiasm, which is a thing, but they still think she is gonna run away with this thing. A majority of Americans right now think that Harris is gonna run away with this. And by the way, that was just one poll until you read the second poll,
Another poll by the Economist, and you gov found that 40% of registered voters expect Harris to win the election, while 34% percent believe Trump will win. Now, also, doing the math on that, that only adds up to 74%. So there's still 26% that do not know who will win, or they don't wanna make a prediction. But this poll also shows us by an even bigger gap that most people think that Harris is going to win. Now, the issue I do have with polls like these is that in 2016, we saw the same thing. Majority of voters, even those who were voting for Trump, not a majority of them, but still a good, good number of them said, yeah, Hillary's gonna win. We like Trump, we're voting for Trump, but Hillary's gonna win. And then Uhoh, we all forgot the electoral college exists, and Hillary didn't win, even though she got 3 million more votes.
So the point is, don't take polls like this as like, oh, cool, great, we got this in the bag. Everybody thinks she's gonna win, she's gonna win. No, I want everybody watching this to pretend that that poll showed that 70% of people think that Trump is gonna win. I want every person on the left right now to think that Donald Trump is gonna run away with this election in a landslide. And therefore, in order for Harris to win, we have to work our asses off. We have to phone bank, we have to go knock on doors. We have to spread real information about what she stands for versus Trump. That's how we have to handle this. Do not take anything for granted. Do not get complacent. Do not think this is in the bag. Think the exact opposite. If you do that, we can keep these numbers up, and November will be a breeze. But the second you start thinking that, okay, we don't have to work as hard, at that point, you've lost.
