4:30Now PlayingDonald Trump’s dumpster fire of a campaign is now burning through cash faster than money can come in. For the past two months, the campaign has spent more than it brought in, dropping Trump’s total amount of cash on hand to a little over $230 million (which is still a lot, but not nearly as much as the Harris campaign has.) The biggest problem, however, is that Republicans have no idea where Trump is spending the money. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains what’s happening.

Here we are. Just one month until the election, everybody's super excited and just ready for this whole thing to be over. But with one month to go, Donald Trump has a serious cash problem. According to a recent report from Bloomberg, for the months of both September and August, Donald Trump's campaign spent more money than they managed to bring in. In September, his campaign spent $12 million more than what they brought in. So they had to tap into their cash reserves to get 12 million out. And in August, they spent 32 million more than they brought in. So Trump could be running outta money, right? Well hold your horses on that 'cause he still actually has $283 million in the bank and only a month to go. So the guy could spend $10 million a day and basically still make it to the finish line. But the problem is the money slowed way down and the money slowed way down for him when Harris became the official nominee.
Harris, on the other hand, is raising money hand over fist. She has so much money, she doesn't know what to do with it. She is outspending Donald Trump. She's out campaigning Donald Trump. She has more field offices, more volunteers, more paid door knockers and other, you know, staffers than Trump could ever dream of. So the question of course, if Donald Trump is spending more money than he brings in, and he's still bringing in more than a hundred dollars a month or a hundred million a month, excuse me. Um, where's the money going? Where is the money going, Donald? And the reason that is a valid question is because there have been two reports from Politico in the last three weeks with Republicans in swing states sounding the alarm bells that there is no presence of the Trump campaign in their states. None. So if Donald Trump is not campaigning in the swing states, he's not bringing in the paid staffers, he's not opening up field offices, but he is spending so much money, where's it going?
And I don't have an answer to that. Like, I'm not about to hit you with like, here's where it went. No, we don't know where the money is going. Now we have some theories, of course, obviously we know that over the last couple years, Donald Trump has been tapping into both his Save America Political Action Committee and his campaign funds to pay for his legal fees. And based on what we've seen in the courts recently, those are probably gonna get a lot more expensive in the months to come. So I think a lot of the money is probably going towards those legal fees. We do also know, based on those two political reports, that Donald Trump has paid a lot of outside groups to go and do the swing state campaigning because eh, we just don't want to do
It. So we outsource that. But even then, those groups still aren't doing it. They're cashing the checks, they're taking the money, but they're not doing what they're being paid to do To make it worse, Elon Musk has put, uh, uh, I think this report says $170 million or excuse me, $71 million, uh, into a super PAC to support Donald Trump. Miriam Adelson, $30 million that she spent, uh, make America Great Again Incorporated has spent 125 million. So where's all the money going? Where is this money going? We don't have an answer for that, but we need one. Right? Kind of seems like an important thing. You've spent hundreds of millions of dollars and there's literally no ground game to show for it. If I were a Republican and thank God I'm not, I'd be asking those questions and I'd want to know where the hell my money's going that I donated to your campaign. 'cause you're sure as hell spending it, but you've got absolutely nothing to show for it. Something doesn't smell right about that.
