4:25Now PlayingChristina Loren, a right wing host for the Right Side Broadcast Network, spoke to onlookers outside of a Trump rally this past week where she compared the twice impeached convicted felon former president to Jesus Christ. But this wasn’t like the usual comparisons that Republicans like to make between the two men who could not be more different – Loren said that Trump is like Jesus because he just says what is on his mind. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins discusses this insanely stupid, and very sacrilegious, comment.

Republicans have a very disturbing habit of trying to compare Donald Trump to Jesus Christ. And unfortunately, it happened again this past week when right side broadcast network host Christina Lauren was outside of a Trump rally talking to some of the people who showed up to hear Donald Trump speak in a way that is definitely not Christ-like. But she caught up with one Trump supporter outside and said this, Evan, I love your cross. So I'm guessing the guy's name is Evan. Would you say your Christian values are part of the reason why you're going to vote for President Donald Trump? And, uh, the young man Repli replied? Yeah, I think so, so it's like, I love your cross. Would you say that your Christian values are why you're voting for Trump? And the kid's like, yeah, sure. I'll say that. And then she goes, what do you like about President Trump and how does he align with your Christian values? Like such a hard hitting interview, right? Like, what do you love most about him? And the kid responded, he kind of just speaks freely on everything and he doesn't shy away from anything. And then Lauren, Christina, Lauren again, RSBN, gets super excited and she's like, that's how Jesus was. You know, Jesus was flipping tables over when he saw that things were wrong. He was transparent. And I love that about Trump as well. We know what's on his mind because he is putting it out there on social media for us to read.
And I wish I was making those quotes up, but that's word for word how that happened. Which of course is not only a gross, uh, misinterpretation of what happened in the Bible when Jesus flipped the tables over in the temple. He was chasing out who? Christina Lauren, the money changers, right? The greedy people looking for money. Sound like anybody. You know, Donald Trump was not like Jesus Christ. Donald Trump is the kind of guy Jesus would've chased out of the temple because Trump would've been there trying to make a quick buck. Like unbelievable how ignorant you are about the Bible, how sacrilegious your statement is and how dumb it is. Like to, to say that he's like Jesus because he is transparent. What, what, what is, what does that even mean? Like most people are transparent. Maybe most is an exaggeration there, but a lot of people are transparent. And I don't think any of them would say, well, you know, I'm just like Jesus in that way. Jesus was transparent. I'm transparent. I'm an open book. What you see is what you get. I tell you what's on my mind. That doesn't make you like Jesus. Because the things that are on Donald Trump's mind are very much not Christ. Like Donald Trump wants to kick out the immigrants, Jesus Christ embraced them and brought them in hell. He
Was one himself. like, what is your deal? How do you people claim to love the Bible so much? And I swear to God, none of y'all have even opened it. I'm not even a religious person and I know more about it than you. In fact, just interesting point of order here, studies have shown that non-religious people actually know more about religious texts than religious people, uh, specifically Christianity. But that's remarkable. Those who are not practicing the faith know more about it, know more about what the Bible says than those who proclaim to live their lives by it. There is nothing religious about Donald Trump any religion. The man does not go to church. He does not live his life by the guidelines set forth in the Bible. He does not live like Christ. He doesn't care about anyone other than himself, and he loves money. So you show me in the Bible where those things are super cool and I'll backtrack all my statement, but until then, keep your sacrilege to yourself and stop comparing the convicted felon, repeat adulterer to Jesus.
