Veteran Republican strategist, Carl Rove, went on Fox News this week to call out Donald Trump for just nonstop whining. And what's funny is that Rove in his appearance on Fox News, he wasn't talking about the Madison Square Garden rally. No. Rove wasn't actually even talking about anything that happened this week. Rove was calling back to what happened last week where Kamala Harris agreed when she was asked, do you think Trump is a fascist? And she said, yes. And that of course was in response to the reports from General Mark Millie and General John Kelly telling us that Donald Trump was a guy who you know, loves to praise Hitler. He's a guy who is an authoritarian to the bone, he's a fascist. And Carl Rove, after all of that, while Donald Trump is just getting sacked for the Tony Hinchcliffe thing at Madison Square Garden, reminded everybody that, Hey, just a week ago we were all sitting here talking about Trump being a fascist.

Oh, and by the way, he's still whining about that. Here is what Rove had to say. And of course he starts off with a dig at Harris for even calling him a fascist to begin with. But he says, quote, she made a mistake. If the campaign really does believe that they've made a big step forward by emphasizing the fascist comment. Look, and I get the hypocrisy of it. Trump has been calling her a fascist for weeks. So now he's whining saying she's calling me a fascist. Well, that is not a winning issue for her. It's not a winning issue for him either. So no side wins when you call each other a fascist, unless of course you ignore the polling data that shows that half of the country does agree that Donald Trump is a fascist. So you know, if you ignore the available data that actually shows this is a very effective line of attack for Kamala Harris, then sure nobody wins.

But Carl Rove's job has never been to be an honest person. Carl Rove's job has always been to engage in the dirtiest tricks possible to get Republicans to win office. And he knows he's not an idiot. He is actually very smart. He is an evil genius, but he knows how damaging these attacks on Donald Trump have been. He is seen that poll. He is not ignorant of it. He knows that it exists. He knows that this is what people think, but because he wants Republicans in power, maybe not Donald Trump, but at least the rest of them down the ballot, he's gonna say that, oh, Harris, no, there's not a good idea. You don't wanna do this. It's not a winning issue. No, it's a winning issue. And for the record, it's also 100% correct.
