So the news has been buzzing for the last few days about a sexual assault claim against Pete Hegseth, the Fox News personality, whom Donald Trump has nominated to be the Secretary of Defense back in 2017. According to a woman, uh, that was with Hegseth, uh, she alleges that he had sexually assaulted her, that it was non-consensual. So those claims have now, of course, come back to the forefront seven years later because he is nominated for this very powerful post in the federal government. Now, HEG sif through his lawyer, has denied all of these allegations, said, yes, I was with the woman, but it was totally consensual. He did, however, settle with her. So you did pay her a lot of money to stop talking. So that's, uh, you know, questionable at least. But either way, damning allegations against him, compare, uh, uh, not compared, but added to the damning allegations against Matt Gaetz.

And all of this is creating quite a headache for Donald Trump's allies behind the scenes allies who, according to new reports, are now worried that even more shocking allegations are going to come out. Probably about these two men, Pete Hegseth and Matt Gates. Here is what's being reported. The concern is that there are going to be more allegations, more extramarital affairs. Uh, the choice of Hegseth came together quickly. It started with a phone call between Trump and Hesi last week, asking if he would be interested in being the Pentagon chief. Within a matter of days, hegseth was on a plane to Mar-a-Lago, to have that meeting with which he would accept the position, and they put the announcement out. A day after the announcement of the nomination, uh, a complaint was sent to the transition team. So it's not even like it was leaked to the press.

They were like, Hey, you guys probably need to know about this. With detailed allegations related to an alleged assault from a woman claiming that she was assaulted by Hegseth in 2017 at a Republican conference in Monterey, California. Hegseth through his lawyer denies that any assault took place saying that this was a consensual engagement. But there is really a lot of concern, a lot of disappointment within the transition within people close to Trump. The feeling was that yes, there was, he had failed marriages, there have been extramarital affairs, but they thought maybe they had gotten beyond him, and he had learned a lesson, and the concern is there will be many more that come out. So you knew some of it. You're like, yeah, I mean, the guy's, a philander seems to be a bit of a scumbag when it comes to how he treats the women he's married to. But ah, you know, people don't care. And unfortunately, it seems like they don't, I mean, they just reelected Donald Trump. So clearly they do have a threshold of how many affairs and what kind of activity is okay, but this could be the one that sinks hegseth. It's likely going to sink Matt Gats.

More and more Republican senators coming out every day telling us they're not gonna confirm Gates. Now we've got a long way to go before we get to any of these confirmation hearings. Okay? We have to get through the certification of the electoral college. We have to get through the swearing in of the new Congress. We have to get through the inauguration, and then we get to these confirmation hearings. So two months, at least before we even begin the hearings, a lot can change in that time. Trump can get on the phone, he can change people's minds like that. That is one of the unfortunate abilities that he has. So these people could be confirmed. They could be rejected. We do not know, and I'm not gonna make any kind of speculation about who is gonna succeed and who is gonna fail, because anything can happen in these next two months before we get to the hearings.
