YouTube Description
as posted by the channelVice President-elect JD Vance has been virtually non-existent for weeks, since even before the election took place. But new reports say that he’s being pulled from the sidelines and into the game to convince Republican Senators to approve Donald Trump’s hideous cabinet nominees. Vance will be meeting with Republicans to convince them to confirm these nominations, and he’ll be working for weeks to make that happen. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains what’s going on.

So there's a big question that I have had, and I actually meant to do a segment on it a couple weeks ago, but forgot. I kind of lost the email that I had sent to myself about it. But I wanted to ask, where the hell is JD Vance? In the week before the presidential election, JD Vance appeared to disappear, I think he did two rallies that of course were not televised. They, they were not widely seen. A couple clips of them were floating around social media, but he wasn't doing the big interviews. He wasn't out there with Donald Trump, and then after the election, he just fell off the face of the earth, right? Like nobody knew where the hell JD Vance was. Well, I am happy to report that JD Vance has reemerged. He's back. We found him, and unfortunately, he has been given the ridiculously impossible task of trying to convince members of the Senate to confirm all of Donald Trump's horrible cabinet picks.
According to new reports, JD Vance has been given the job of convincing the Senate to confirm people like Matt Gaetz, Pete Hegseth, and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. He is in the process of setting up meetings with Republicans who might be a little timid to vote for Donald Trump's picks. So the junior senator from Ohio is of course, out there trying to convince people that, Hey, I know that these people look real bad and they all have closets overflowing with skeletons, but you know, please, please vote to confirm these people so that Donald Trump doesn't think I'm a failure because he is given me this job and oh my God, I have to succeed in it. Right? That's what this is. He sent little Vance out there to convince people older and smarter than him to vote for people that are just absolutely the worst of the worst. And I don't know that Vance is gonna be successful.
We have already had reports that there are up to 30 Republican senators who are currently, granted we're two months plus out, out, out, out from this, excuse me, 30, that are planning at the moment to vote against Matt Gaetz. So Matt Gaetz right now doesn't even have 50%. He doesn't even have 50% of the Republicans in the Senate supporting him. So Vance has a lot of work to do just on that guy. Then of course you have Robert F. Kennedy Jr. That a lot of Republicans have expressed some doubt about. You have Pete Hegseth, who Republicans have expressed doubt about. You have Tulsi Gabbard, who Republicans aren't exactly crazy about. So that's a lot of work for poor little JD Vance, right? He's only been in office for two years and he doesn't know these people all that well. Some of them have been there like Mitch McConnell for almost 40 years. So it's gonna be tough. You're sending this little kid out there to do a man's job. So we'll see what happens. I guess best case scenario for Vance though is
That he works out a deal with these Republicans basically telling them, listen, okay, vote down this person in exchange for voting for this person. Give us a list of other people you would consider for this one that you're gonna vote down, and we will pick from that list if you confirm all of these other people. So I do think that Vance is gonna go out there and present at least one of these nominees as the sacrificial lamb, and based on the evidence and the reporting, it seems like that's probably gonna be Matt Gaetz. So I think what Vance is really doing, instead of saying vote for all of these people, I think he's meeting behind closed doors saying, let's make a deal. We'll vote down this one. We'll vote for all the rest of 'em, and then you guys can pick somebody for this position, or at least give us a list, and we will try to stick to it.
