A viewer wants to know why progressive commentators aren’t jumping into the world of electoral politics and running for office. The reasons are more complex than you may think, but it does raise a valid question for some of the people in Leftist media. There are plenty who could run – and win – but will they answer the call? Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins discusses this.

I have a question here from a, uh, viewer that I actually found pretty interesting, pretty entertaining to be honest. The question is, this is from, uh, Bryson Miller, 7 2 7 2, who asks, why don't you and other incredible progressive commentary channels run for office? I ask because you seem far more capable than those of whom we have in power on all levels of government. Um, well, I appreciate the very kind words there. Um, here's the problem. I personally am in a deep red district, a deep red district that as we all know recently reelected Matt Gaetz in spite of all of the, you know, information we had about him. So I don't run for office because I'm in a red county, in a red state, and I would not win. And it's not just because, oh, it's Republicans, I can't win. It's because I have videos, I have segments, I have podcast episodes where I sit there for hours on end talking about how stupid Republicans are like just absolutely saying the meanest things about these people because they deserve it.

You know, kinda like what I just said right there. And, uh, if I ran for office, what do you think would be in those campaign commercials against me? All of those clips that I have done, that's gonna be hard to explain away. I mean, it's true. So I don't really need to try to, you know, walk back from it, but, uh, it's gonna kill any chance I have of running for office in these red areas in which I live. Other people. However, I think that's a good question. I mean, we've seen Jan Yer run for office that did not end well at all. So, jank, I like you, but you, you're out. Um, lemme go ahead and put two people up here though that I think actually have a shot at not only running, but definitely winning. Not only based on their knowledge of issues and their ability to speak to public, but also because of where they live.

So I'm gonna go ahead and throw this out there. I'm gonna put this on, uh, my two friends, Sam Cedar and David PackMan. I think Sam Cedar could run for office and win. I think David PackMan could easily run for office and win. Uh, you know, he lives up in Massachusetts, deep blue area. David PackMan would be a shoe in. And he is also somebody who is exceptionally brilliant and would do a phenomenal job. And the same thing with Sam. And Sam of course brings his, you know, unique brand of humor and just ability to just tear down people on the right. Like, I would love to see Sam run for office, just to watch the debates that would happen. Like that would be a thing of beauty. Something that the history books would teach for centuries to come. Sam Cedar taking down an opponent in a political debate where he's running for office. So I know I

Can't run for office. Uh, I am too despised. I have said too many horrible things. And you know, for this area, if I were in a different area, maybe I'd consider it. But, uh, until then, it's Sam Cedar and David Pacman for 2028. That is the ticket folks. Cedar Pacman 2028.
