Donald Trump boasted to reporters aboard Air Force One on Sunday that we was just “too busy” to be able to play any golf while visiting his own golf resort. And, to absolutely no one’s surprise, he then spent the rest of the day and even the NEXT day golfing. He can’t even be trusted to tell the truth about something that doesn’t even matter, so why should we trust him about anything important? Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins discusses this.

This last weekend, Donald Trump traveled from Washington dc you know, taking a couple days off. I mean, he'd worked, you know, almost four days by then. So cut him some slack. It's time to have some fun. So on Saturday, he headed on down to his Doral golf resort in Miami, which coincidentally happens to be where most of the house Republicans went to hold their little winter retreat. And while he was on Air Force, one reporters asked him like, Hey, you're going to your golf resort. Obviously you're a golfer. Are you gonna have time to golf buddy? And Trump told them, no, I don't think so. I'm busy. That's his exact words. No, I don't think so. I'm busy, just too busy to play golf guys. I mean, I'm not too busy to take a vacation after being on the job for only four days. Let's be real here.

Uh, but I'm just, I'm too busy to play golf. That's what he told them on Saturday. And then you're not gonna believe this next part, folks. Then on Sunday, do you know what happened? Do you know what he did? He went golfing. Yeah, that man who was just so busy, I'm not gonna be able to golf. He then went golfing on Sunday. Do you know what happened the next day on Monday, you can probably guess he went golfing, in his first week in office. The first seven days Donald Trump went golfing. Two of those days that, that's not a good ratio, right? We shouldn't be looking at two sevenths of the time you're in office. You've already been golfing at your own golf resort. But this is a man who, as the HuffPost puts it, golfed at least 289 times during his first administration at a cost to taxpayers of at least $150 million.

So the same administration that tells us that we have to have a Doge office run by Elon Musk to identify areas where the government can save money. Spent $150 million last time on golf, the man that owns the golf courses where he is golfing. And the press didn't call him on it, right? Like, oh, I'm too busy to golf now if you excuse me. I gotta get these clubs that are totally not for golfing outta the plane and, uh, go to my golf resort to totally not golf. Right? But he did. Now, here's the thing that gets me about this. If Trump goes golfing, great. I, I, I don't care at all. In fact, I would prefer that, I would love it if Donald Trump spent all day, every day on that golf course. 'cause you know what he's not doing when he is on the golf course, he is not signing executive orders that end up breaking the federal government. So I'm okay with it. If he wants to spend the next four years golfing every day, then by God, let him do it. Not

Gonna argue. But what does bother me is the fact that he lied to these journalists, to these reporters. I can't call 'em journalists. They're just reporters. He lied to them. He lied to them about something that is inconsequential. Everybody knows Trump golfs. He talks about it all the time. He brags about it. He loves to golf. We get it. You golf, you own the golf course. So why'd you just say like, yeah, maybe if I have time, well, or hell yeah, I'm gonna golf. I'm gonna golf all weekend. Nobody would've cared. Nobody would have cared. But he lied about it. Lying about inconsequential things, lying about such mundane, stupid things shows you his mentality. It shows you his complete and total inability to even tell the truth. I don't think he's physically capable of it at this point, because if you're willing to lie about things that don't even matter, then hell yeah, you're gonna lie about the big things. This was not something he should have lied about, but the fact that he did is what everyone in this country needs to be concerned about. 'cause if he's gonna lie about stupid things, then he's sure gonna lie about things that could impact your life.
