New Poll Shows Democrats Want Leaders Like AOC, Not Gavin Newsom

According to a poll this week from CNN, voters want Democrats to be more like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and less like Gavin Newsom. Voters believe that AOC represents the “core values” of the Democratic Party better than anyone else, showing that the Democratic Party’s efforts to marginalize progressives has been a gigantic mistake, and could explain a lot of their problems in recent elections. So a couple of weeks ago, I was filling in for David PackMan on his show, and I did a segment, um, that did surprisingly well. I'm, I was shocked kind of at the, uh, numbers ago. But anyway, uh, where I talked about at the time that a OC is emerging as the leader that the Democrats need. You know, she was out there, she was vocal, she wasn't doing the performative Bs that other Democrats were doing to resist Trump. She was actually getting out there and doing things. Um, so fast forward, obviously a couple of weeks. A new poll came out this week from CNN and according to the CNN poll, basically what I said about a OC being the leader that the Democrats need, it wasn't just my opinion, apparently that is the opinion of most Democrats because according to this new poll from C-N-N-A-O-C, scored the highest out of who best represents the core values of the Democratic party.

A OC scored a 10, Kamala Harris scored a nine, and then Gavin Newsom, right? The heir apparent to be the next person to run for president under the Democratic ticket, he scored a two. Now, Biden and Hillary Clinton only got a one. Obama got a four, but none of those people will ever run for president again. Obama can't. Biden definitely shouldn't, and Hillary Clinton sure shouldn't. But Newsom will and Newsom's stock is falling. His little appearance with Charlie Kirk recently certainly didn't help anything. In fact, another poll actually found that after he did the podcast with Charlie Kirk, 26% of Californians, uh, say that their view of Newsom got worse.

So over a quarter of people in California, after Newsom did the interview with Charlie Kirk, were like, I don't like this guy as much now. So Newsom is making some bad calls. And of course the story came out this week that Newsom has sent burner phones to CEOs throughout California with his personal number programmed in so that the wealthy elite can of course get in touch with the governor at any given moment. Meanwhile, a OC is out there with Bernie Sanders. They're launching a tour to go to Republican areas to talk about the dangers that Donald Trump imposes to the US economy. So, which one of those people do you think is a better leader for the Democratic party? Somebody that's going out there and actually talking to voters about what is happening to the economy and how Democrats could be able to fix it. Or the guy giving burner phones to CEOs saying, Hey, if you need anything, you give me a call, bud. The choice is obvious. We know who the leader of the party is, given the choice between the two of these folks, it sure isn't Gavin Newsom. Oh, he looks great on tv, right? He is a good looking dude. He can go out there. He is a powerful

Talker, absolutely. But his values are not there. The Democrats do not need somebody that looks good on television. The Democrats at this point need a fighter. They need somebody that's going to get off somebody that might lose their temper every now and then at the injustices facing people in this country. We don't need the calm and reserved like, well, we gotta get along with everybody else too. We don't need a Chuck Schumer. We need an A OC. We need more Bernie Sanders. We need more Elizabeth Warrens. Hell, we need Katie Porter back. That is who we need. I mean, I love a OC, don't get me wrong. But if I had to choose, I mean, Katie Porter, I just love her, and she may run for governor of California, which would be phenomenal. I don't live in California, but I will sure give money.
