This statement was made to justify the Trump administration’s designation of these protesters as “domestic terrorists,” which is still a stretch. As we all know, there have been massive protests against Tesla these past few weeks, and some of them, of course, not the actual protesters, but agitators have shown up and of course, committed acts of vandalism, including setting fire to Tesla vehicles. Now, attorney General, Pam Bondy, who of course was Donald Trump's handpicked individual because she did such a bang up job representing him at his trials years ago, um, decided that these were not just the actions of a couple individuals who were obviously breaking the law. Nope, these were domestic terrorists using what she calls weapons of mass destruction, right? That familiar phrase that popped up during the run up to the Iraq War, weapons of mass destruction. Here's what happened on Sunday. Pam Bondy, the Attorney General appeared on Sunday morning futures on Fox News with host Maria Bart Romo, where Bart Romo wanted to ask the Attorney General about the violence against Tesla.

And here is what Pam Bondy said. We're looking at so much on this. There have been three federal charges so far, and I say so far we are looking at all of these cases across the country. We have a dedicated task force. These are not isolated incidents, as you know, and these aren't vandals. These are Molotov cocktails that could be a weapon of mass destruction. At that point, Bart Romo jumps in and says, wow. And then Bondi continues that they're throwing in Tesla dealerships. Now they're lighting these Tesla charging stations on fire that are in residential neighborhoods. I mean, it could cause tremendous damages. And people need to know the three people in custody right now, they will receive severe and swift consequences, and they're facing up to 20 years in prison. We are not negotiating these, we are not coming off these charges. We are looking at everything, especially if this is a concerted effort. This is domestic terrorism.

No, it's not. It's vandalism by the letter of the law. It is vandalism. And just to reiterate, as I've said in every segment I've ever done about this, I do not support or condone that at all. I, I think the violence and the vandalism, of course underscores the actual movement, the Tesla takedown, right? Protest, get out there, be seen, be heard, but don't cause damage because that hurts your cause. So I don't think any of these legitimate protesters with any part of the Tesla takedown movement are a part of this as per usual, any kind of movement, whether it's an environmental movement, uh, whether it's, you know, for anything, you're gonna get these agitators that latch onto it and then cause destruction, which ends up harming the cause. But this is still not

Domestic terrorism. Let me ask the attorney general this question. If this were happening to Ford, would it be considered domestic terrorism, right? If somebody went to a Ford dealership lit an F-150 on fire, would you consider that domestic terrorism? Or is that just an act of vandalism? Is that property damage? Right? Just because it happens to be the dealership of the vehicle of Donald Trump's, BFF does not give you the right to declare this domestic terrorism and send somebody away for, you know, the next 20 years of their lives. That's not how the law works. You don't get to just randomly assign a label to this specific thing because it hurts Elon Musk's feelings. You're ruining people's lives over acts of vandalism, and that's not okay. That's not what the letter of the law says. And if you do that, you're gonna find it pretty hard in court to convince juries to convict these people of domestic terrorism. In fact, by going overboard with the charges, you're increasing the odds that these people actually end up getting off.
