Now I wanna preface this by saying I take no joy in the stock market crashing like millions of Americans. I have a 401k, uh, and, and that money is, is in the stock market. Like I'm getting screwed just like the rest of everybody. But I will say something actually hilarious did happen on Monday. Um, the markets of course opened immediately 1200 points down. So it was really bad off the start. But then something amazing happened. Rumors started to be reported that had no basis in reality. But nevertheless, rumors came out that said, Hey, Trump may do a 90 day pause on the tariffs. And in response to those rumors, the market went back into positive territory. Like, okay, hey, maybe it's not gonna be that bad, right? Well then Caroline Levitt opened her big stupid mouth, and Caroline Levitt told reporters something so incredibly stupid that it immediately caused the markets to start tanking once again.

Like we had minutes of a recovery until Caroline Levitt opened her dumb mouth. So here is what happened. As reported by CNBC, I spoke to Caroline Levitt, the White House press secretary on the phone just a short time ago, and she tells me it is quote unquote fake news that the White House is considering a 90 day pause. So the White House pouring cold water on this idea, wherever it came from, that they're considering a 90 day pause on tariffs saying that the president is committed to his tariff regime and any reports that he's considering in 90 day Pauls are quote unquote fake news, and then the market's tanked. Here's the thing. Caroline Levitt was at least being honest for once. Okay? You gotta give her credit for that, right? The one time she decides to tell the truth was literally the one time where maybe you fudge it a bit, right?

Maybe you'll be a little vague. Maybe you look at the markets recovering on these rumors and you go out there and say, listen, um, I have not been privy to these discussions. There is perhaps a way that we can pause these for 90 days as long as these other countries wish to cooperate with us, so that we can hammer out solid trade deals that greatly benefit the United States moving forward. Like that was literally off the top of my head right there. I hadn't even put any thought into that, and that's what I came up with. Caroline. All you had to do was say that, right? Give one of those like super vague non-answers that doesn't necessarily give people too much optimism, but it doesn't destroy the entire stock market. Like for once in your life, be smart and help

People, and you're like, Nope, I'm gonna tell the blunt truth finally, for once in my life and to hell with the consequences. So, that's what happened.
