Since Donald Trump came into office, respect for the United States as a whole has fallen across the globe. In fact, Donald Trump is so unpopular that our allies have effectively announced we're shutting out the United States. We're no longer cooperating with you on intelligent sharing because we don't trust you. We're obviously not working out all these trade deals that Trump swears they're totally working on. They effectively want nothing to do with us because of what Donald Trump has done in five short months to the global image of the United States. And that brings me to another viewer question. This one comes from Andrew Pollard, who asks, what do you think the United States must do to regain trust and respect from our allies and our high standing on the world stage after Trump is finally out of office forever? Now, that's a tough one. I mean, like, how do we repair all of the damage that has been done?

A lot of it starts with simply getting somebody else in the Oval Office, um, the United States for those old enough to remember we faced a similar thing during the Bush years. By the time George W. Bush was at the end of his second term, most of the rest of the world hated us. They absolutely loathed us. Everybody at that point understood that that administration lied to those countries, sharing fake intelligence, authorizing torture as well, uh, to basically get all these people to go into Iraq with us, to al Saddam Hussein, who had nothing to do with the nine 11 attacks. So the rest of the world was off. America's global image had diminished tremendously. And then Obama came in, and once you had just the new guy there, the rest of the world was like, okay, all right. Let's, let's see. You know, let, let's chitchat, let's talk.

Okay, this guy's good. Yeah, we like the US again. That's literally all it took. Okay. It may seem like a daunting task and, you know, hearing it, uh, um, hearing me ask the question, seeing it written on paper, it seems like a very complicated thing. How do we repair the breach of trust? But you do it by getting rid of the guy who breached the trust in the first place. Once the problem is gone, the problem is gone. Now that doesn't mean that as soon as Trump leaves office, January 20th, you know, 2029, everybody loves us again. There is still work to be done. We have to listen to our allies. If any tariffs are still in place, the trade wars need to be ended. We need to work out better deals with them. We need to show them that we are trustworthy. We need to be able to share intelligence openly with them for national security reasons. We need to not, as Trump has done side with dictators against all of Europe.

Uh, that's, you know, for starters, these are the small little things that can and hopefully will be done once Trump leaves office. And I guarantee you some of the first stories we'll be talking about when Trump leaves office and somebody else has sworn in, is how suddenly the global opinion of the United States has surged. I promise you it'll happen because I've had to do stories like that several times throughout my career.
