According to onlookers, one of the people appeared to be a quadriplegic, yet he was still restrained in his wheelchair. A video clip that, of course, has now gone viral. This week, a group of elderly protestors in wheelchairs were zip tied by Capitol Police for protesting cuts to Medicaid inside the Capitol this week. Peaceful protestors, elderly peaceful protestors, elderly peaceful protestors in wheelchairs were zip tied by Capitol Police this week. Their crime, of course, is that you're technically not allowed to protest inside the Capitol. So the police had to come in and one of the men, according to an onlooker, appeared to be a pa uh, quadriplegic. Um, but they still got zip tied. But instead of telling these people, call me like, Hey, um, you guys more than welcome to protest, you can't do it in the building, so let me show you where you can go and do this. Right? That's what the Capitol police could have and should have done. But instead, they were like, uhoh, we got granny on a, uh, a, a scooter here. Lock her up. Let's arrest her. They arrested 33 people, summon wheelchairs, summon, you know, mobility scooters. 33 elderly people arrested for protesting the proposed cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, all of the programs that millions, tens of millions of people in this country depend on every day.

This, of course, is part of the big beautiful bill that Donald Trump is trying to force through Congress. It's being held up in the Senate. Donald Trump has given them a weak deadline. You gotta have it by the food that you leg. Gotta tha it. I've already planned my victory tour, and I'm gonna look dumb if it's not done. But this is one of the most unpopular pieces of legislation we have ever seen on the verge of passing. It is underwater by 35 points of those who approve versus disapprove. Far more disapprove than approved. Like this, this, nobody wants this piece of garbage. And that is what these individuals were trying to tell us inside the Capitol. And I don't care if they were inside the capitol and you're not allowed to be inside the capitol. It was in fact a piece peaceful protest. And if these people were outside, nobody's gonna listen to 'em, right? Are those lawmakers, as they try to walk down the hall, gonna hear the message of these people if they're 500 yards away outside in a parking lot, in the extreme heat? No. And the cops know that. That's why they didn't offer them to go somewhere else. They wanted to make a, a message outta this. This is disturbing. This is disgusting. Not only that this

Happened to these people in the wheelchairs, but also the fact that this legislation is gonna do what we all fear. The public has made it clear they do not want this. Many Republicans in Congress have made it clear they do not want this, but they're gonna vote for it anyway, and they're gonna pass it because they're afraid of Donald Trump. And that's what those arrests were about, creating more fear. Don't you dare speak out about this, even if you're a quadriplegic in a wheelchair, because we'll haul your to jail.
