YouTube Description
as posted by the channelThe Trump Organization’s new cell phone company is already suffering from a rocky start, as they have decided to remove the “Made in America” claim from their cheap cell phones and instead they now say that the phone is “made with American values.” Reports suggested shortly after the company launched that the phone was actually made in China, and now those reports seem to be true given the change in language. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains what this means.

As everybody knows, not that long ago, the Trump organization announced that they were starting a cell phone company. They were gonna be selling their own phones, the the T one for Trump phone, which was solid gold and gaudy and a piece of garbage. And they were also selling cell phone plans for $47 and 45 cents a month. And immediately they told us all over their website and of course in their memos that this phone, this gaudy gold piece of junk was gonna be made in America. It was all, they had a big banner on their website that said, made in America. And then immediately after this reports came out saying that actually the phone's made in China. And so the Trump organization decided to completely scrub any mention of Made in America from their website. According to a new report from the Verge, all of the Made in America claims have now been erased off of that website and instead replaced with vague pro-American language.
Let me read you this from The Verge. The Trump mobile website now includes what can only be described as vague pro-American gestures in the direction of smartphone manufacturing. The T one's new tagline is premium performance proudly American. Its website says the device is designed with American values in mind, and there are American hands behind every device under key features. The first thing listed is American Proud design. None of this indicates, well, anything. It certainly doesn't say the device is made in the USA or even designed in the USA. There are just some hands in America.
None of that, by the way, like what the verge is describing here, none of it means anything. These are just random statements that include some variation of the word America or American, like that's how ridiculous these people are. But that's how Republicans market themselves, their ideas and even their crappy products to the Republican base. If you wanna sell something to a Republican in this country, it doesn't matter what it is. Like. Okay, I got a a a TV remote right here, ordinary LED tv, it runs a teleprompter. Um, I could sell this to a Republican if I called this an America controller. Not that it controls America, but this is a controller that is proud to have American values. This is what an American uses. Now, was it made in America? Absolutely not. But if you just slap America on there, mention America four or five times in the ads, maybe put an American flag sticker on it, you're gonna get a bunch of very stupid people to buy it, just like Donald Trump's merchandise that most of, of it is not made in the United States. In fact, I think all of it is not made in the United States, and these crappy phones are no exception. Republicans fall for this faux patriotism every single day, and they have for decades. It obviously kicked into high gear following nine 11 for those of us old enough to remember, but it hasn't stopped. It's actually gotten worse. You can sell anything to these rubes by throwing out the word America. They will empty their wallets for a Chinese product. If you describe it in pro-American terms.
