3:56Now PlayingThe Prime Minister of Denmark has summoned the acting ambassador to America about unrest that the Trump administration is trying to sow in Greenland in an espionage type way, according to a new report from the NPR equivalent of Denmark. Trump is trying to add this 51st state. He seems quite obsessed with this idea. Greenland was the first, then it became Canada. God forbid it'd be Puerto Rico because we know how they'll vote. Why doesn't he just make Epstein Island a state? He's familiar with the layout of it.

The Prime Minister of Denmark has summoned the ambassador to America about unrest that Americans are trying to sow, or the Trump administration is trying to sow, in Greenland. We do not have an ambassador to Denmark, as Trump has not gotten one confirmed yet. The acting one is one of the co-founders of PayPal, good friends with Elon Musk, and he's being asked to answer for this. This man has no diplomatic experience, much less, how do you defend the fact that the President of the United States has people trying to cause dissent in one of your protectorates, of Greenland.
Right. This basically was all sparked by an investigation that took place from the Danish equivalent of NPR. So they came out there, they did this wonderful investigation. They talked to people, they figured things out and what they found allegedly is that the Trump administration sent, I think at least six people over to Greenland. And the idea was get these people to go out there and find people who, one, don't like being owned by Denmark, but two, like the idea of being owned by Donald Trump. Once you get those people and you form this little bit of an army, I guess, then you take those people and you put 'em in front of the business leaders. Once you get the business people on your side showing them, look at all these citizens that want to be a part of the United States, we should sell to Trump.
Then convince the businessmen. The businessmen then go to the politicians, and then the politicians have no choice but to do what the businessmen and the people want. So sowing this unrest almost in a espionage type way, is what the plan was, according to this report from Denmark. And so, yeah, they issued a legal summons to the guy who's acting as our diplomat to Denmark and said, um, you gotta come and talk to the government affairs office, bud, because we think you're involved in some pretty shady things happening. Unfortunately, we don't know what they asked him, but I can't imagine it went well for him.
No, he probably should have stuck to being a billionaire as opposed to doing this. It's not the fun cushy job, I'm sure he envisioned it to be. But that's again, the Trump administration. Denmark is one of our older allies, and now we're having to answer the fact that the President of the United States is trying to foment dissent amongst one of their protectorates.
Yeah. And we've already put Denmark on the edge in terms of them even liking the US anymore. Same thing with Greenland. And this is only gonna make the situation worse. They are a strategic ally. They're a strategic trading partner. We have the military base in Greenland, and for those who may have forgotten, that's the place where JD Vance basically had to hide out because nobody in Greenland wanted him there. So we need this relationship and Donald Trump is destroying it with his greed. He wants Greenland because they're a mineral rich country. That's it. It's not for the military advantage that he tries to tell us because again, we already have the military base there. We don't need more than that. He wants those mineral deposits and this is what he's doing to get them.
Well, he also seems very obsessed with adding a state. Right. He said Canada, he said Greenland can be the 51st state. And I guess because in his lifetime, that was when the last state was added and he sees this as some badge of honor, that if he can get a new state, and God forbid it'd be Puerto Rico because we know how they'll vote. So it can't be Puerto Rico and it can't be DC. So he is trying to add this 51st state. He seems quite obsessed with this idea.
