A very disoriented and slurring Donald Trump gave a speech about allegedly “solving” the crime problem in Washington, D.C., which never existed in the first place. But he then went off on a demented tangent about how there are still some crimes, and he included when a “husband and wife get into a little argument” they call it a crime. During a speech this week, a very slurry and low energy, Donald Trump, who appeared to be exhibiting pretty severe symptoms of cognitive decline, proudly proclaimed to an audience where he was talking about religion. That he doesn't quite think that domestic violence ought to be a crime. You know, it's a little bit ridiculous that a man and a woman get into, you know, a disagreement as Trump called it, and suddenly that's a crime. Now, the context of this, of course, and I'll show you the clip in just a second, but the context of this is that Donald Trump was bragging about solving a problem that didn't exist, which is exactly what I told you he was gonna do. DC did not have a crime problem. The crime rates were falling. The city was much better, better than it had been in over 30 years, folks. So Trump sends in the National Guard, they're so bored that according to reports, they ended up having to pick up garbage on the streets and in the parks, because that's all there was for them to do.

And then Donald Trump comes out and says, oh, look, what a success? There is no crime, but there wasn't any crime there to begin with. That's like, if I walk around my neighborhood with a sword saying, by God I'm tired of all the lions in my neighborhood, I'm gonna walk around with a sword for a week to scare off all the lions. And a week later I come out and give a speech. Like, guys, there's no lions. My my sword wielding worked. I don't know if you saw me out there. It's pretty good. It's a nice sword. Uh, but there's no more lions. They're all gone because of what I did. Well, obviously that's not true. Yeah, there's no lions, but there were no lions to begin with. And that's exactly what Donald Trump is doing with the crime in dc. But that's when he took the weird turn about domestic violence. Here's the clip. Now

It's more than 87%, virtually nothing. And, uh, and much lesser things, things that take place in the home, they call crime. You know, they'll do anything they can to find something. If a man has a little fight with the wife, they say, this was a crime. See? So now I can't claim a hundred percent, but, uh, we are, we are a safe city. You can walk to a restaurant, you can walk to the White House. If you worked there, you could walk to the Capitol. And even the Democrats, I can't believe it, but they don't wanna admit it, but I can't believe it. We could do the same thing in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles. We did it. We saved, we saved Los Angeles.

We now, he didn't specifically obviously say domestic violence, right? It is important to point that out. He didn't say domestic violence, but let's just say this. If a man and a woman, or if a spouse, and a spouse, whoever it is, if a couple gets into an argument, right? Like they're disagreeing about what to have for dinner, they're disagreeing about the distribution of the household chores, they're disagreeing about how to raise the children, even if it comes to the point where they're yelling and screaming and shouting, they're allowed to do that. That's not a crime. Cops aren't gonna go over there because a couple doesn't agree on what to have for dinner. They will, however, go over there when the violence starts.

So what Trump has to be referring to by process of elimination is domestic violence. Because even if a cop shows up and it's just because the couple was yelling at each other from different sides of the room, that's not a crime. It's not gonna be reported as a crime. Okay? So that doesn't get counted in crime statistics, but Trump is talking about crime statistics where domestic violence would fall. So he's telling us, you know, like, ah, yeah, man, should you get the law involved?
