as posted by the channelArkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders was blasted by her own Republican Party members for trying to delay a special election to fill a vacant state legislature seat for more than a year. As of right now, the empty seat represents the fact that a district does not have a voice in the state government, and Republicans – particularly those running for the seat – raised hell with Sanders after she announced that she wasn’t doing the election until November of 2026. After serious backlash from all political parties and plenty of elected officials, Sanders decided to move the election to next Summer, which is still AFTER the legislative session ends.
