Patel had previously won a default judgment, but Stewartson fought back on jurisdiction and the case was dismissed, turning what started as an intimidation play into a public humiliation. The FBI Director keeps following Trump’s defamation playbook, suing critics and media outlets, but this time the backlash landed in a federal order with the insult preserved for history.
