as posted by the channelMarshes and other wetland ecosystems are incredibly important for humans and animals alike. But invasive species like "Phragmites australis" can dramatically alter the habitat in a marsh, making it unsuitable for many of the species that normally live there.
This video is based off of research conducted by Courtney Robichaud (@cdrobich on Twitter), and photos of the marsh and grasses are from the Rooney lab at the University of Waterloo where Courtney is a PhD student.
