as posted by the channelAngel joined the NYPD in June 1992 and worked patrol and anti-crime until 2004, eventually being moved to the 48 Detective Squad, Burglary Robbery Apprehension Module. In 2005 Angel was Promoted to Detective and began a specialized detail in the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) in 2007. Throughout is time in the JTTF Angel was the case Detective for Operation Rapid Return finding Abdel Hameed Shehadeh a Staten Island Jihadist who was attempting to enlist in the U.S. Army and then defect to the Taliban so he could conduct an attack on U.S. Troops. Then being assigned as the case Detective for Operation High Rise, subject Adis Medujanin and Co-conspirator to Denver subject Najibullah Zazi. Angel disrupted the planned and coordinated NYC subway suicide bombing plot, which was Osama Bin Laden’s last attempt to attack the U.S. before he was killed. To have taken place on 9/11/2009. Retired in 2014
