YouTube Description
as posted by the channelWhile the war in Ukraine could be reliably anticipated for only a few months, the Taiwan crisis can be seen coming from years away. It is not imminent: the military seizure of the island would be a huge and hazardous undertaking for which China is not ready. But it is no longer so far away as to be immaterial. China intends to be the dominant regional power by 2035. If Xi Jinping can carry on for another decade or more, he could achieve the immortality of Mao by completing his work and consolidating all China’s “core” interests. This crisis is on track for the 2030s, and if you are investing in China or doing business there that is not very far in the future.
