as posted by the channelThe BBC has agreed to pay damages of about £200,000 to the former nanny of Prince William and Prince Harry after she was embroiled in the Martin Bashir scandal.
Tim Davie, the BBC director-general, apologised to Tiggy Legge-Bourke, now known as Alexandra Pettifer. He also repeated his apology to William and Harry.
The BBC accepted that “false and malicious allegations” were made about Pettifer to induce Diana, Princess of Wales, to agree to a Panorama interview in 1995.
