John Pienaar was joined by Sarah Jarvis, Relationship Development Director for Healthcare at Barclays Corporate Banking, and Kunal Thakker, founder and chief executive of Tooth Club, for the latest Times Radio feature with Barclays Corporate Banking. The discussion centred on the findings of the Barclays Business Prosperity Survey, and how businesses are responding to challenges and opportunities in the current environment.
Jarvis explained that although economic uncertainty remains a concern, almost half of survey respondents said the UK environment is supporting long-term growth. She added that 86 per cent of businesses reported revenue growth compared with the same quarter last year, signalling resilience and renewed confidence.
Patel described how Tooth Club has reimagined dentistry with high street clinics, extended hours, and an emphasis on accessibility. He highlighted the role of social media in building a modern brand and the importance of a strong internal culture and sense of purpose in retaining staff and driving growth. This view reflected survey findings that seven in ten leaders believe culture is central to long-term success.
The segment also underlined how Barclays supports clients with banking solutions and growth expertise to help them achieve their ambitions.
