0:33Now PlayingWhile stumping for Virginia Republican gubernatorial candidate, Glenn Youngkin, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) told progressive journalist Lauren Windsor that he was the one responsible for leading the effort to overturn the election in Donald Trump's favor in the Senate. This contradicts what he said on the Senate floor on January 6th, 2021 and could be seen as a shot across the bow aimed at fellow Republican Senators, Josh Hawley (MO) and Tommy Tuberville (AL), both of whom came out in support of challenging the electoral college days before Sen. Cruz even weighed in on the matter.
