But the truth is somwhere in between. According to ThinkProgress' Bryce Covert, single mothers have difficulty completing higher education because the costs and the lack of support system for them and their children. But women still attain college and advanced degrees at higher rates than menand when they do, they are just as likely to be paid less than men for the same job as uneducated womenespecially if they are mothers.
