Dr. Anastasia Williams joined BNC to discuss how the COVID-19 vaccine could impact women who are expecting. She says pregnant women were included in the trials and they "did fine with the vaccine" and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology encourages pregnant women to get it. Williams also noted that new studies reveal that women who receive the vaccine while pregnant birth babies born with the antibodies needed to fight the virus. When it comes to vaccines in those under the age of 18, Williams says younger children are not effective at spreading COVID-19 into the community. She says offering the vaccine to teachers will also be another way to keep children safe and the focus should go to those who qualify for the vaccines.
