Lewis Jr. says that his father is accountable for his decisions but that his sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole is too harsh and a symptom of “draconian federal sentencing.”
“He’s done so much on his own in terms of mentoring younger inmates,” Lewis Jr. tells Walters. “He’s super remorseful.”
