BNC Correspondent Bofta Yimama joined "Start Your Day" with Sharon Reed and Mike Hill to talk about this initiative that will get parents back to work. The administration hopes the new funding from the American Rescue Plan will provide a boost to family childcare providers and early childhood educators.
Most are small businesses owned by women and disproportionately owned by people of color. Also happening on Capitol Hill, the fight to pass gun legislation is still underway.
