Drumwright said that the protests in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, have been peaceful.
“The system of law enforcement that “blue line of silence” is still very much intact. However, the police chief [and] the city manager have actually been standing in lock and step with the organizing and activism community, as well as the Brown family,” Drumwright says.
