10:22Now PlayingChrystul Kizer, a 20-year-old sex trafficking survivor, is facing life in prison after being charged with the murder of her abuser. Kizer was only 16 when she met Randy Voler, a 33-year-old white man who sexually abused her and nearly a dozen other Black girls as young as 12. In February 2018, police arrested Voler on multiple charges, including child sexual assault, but prosecutors released him without bail the same day. Months later, Kizer killed him in what she says was self-defense, after he raped her. After two years in prison, she was released on bond last June. Jessica Contrera, the Washington Post reporter who first broke the story, joins "Making the Case w/Yodit” to give an update on Kizer’s case.
