Marc Lamont Hill, host of “Black News Tonight” discusses justice and accountability regarding George Floyd’s murder. “It’s not real justice,” Hill says. “I want to imagine a word without police and prison.” Hill emphasizes the fight to build a better world and finding a way to get a sense of safety for the Black community. Hill finishes by pointing out that revenge isn’t the answer. Although this is the longest sentence an officer in America has ever gotten for murder, Hill strongly believes that no matter the length of prison time, it still wouldn’t produce accountability.
