Support for track superstar Sha’Carri Richardson poured out after she accepted a 30-day suspension for testing positive for marijuana. The debate continues on whether or not rules surrounding marijuana use should be changed, as it legal in many states including Oregon, where the trials are taking place.
Co-host of “Start Your Day” Mike Hill and sports and culture reporter for The Athletic, Kavitha Davidson, joined BNC’s “Prime with Charles Blow” to discuss the ruling from the World Anti-Doping Agency, and how changes are needed. They also talk about the U.S. team’s decision to not add Richardson to the 400m relay, which would take place after her suspension, pointing out the indifference around current personal tragedies.
All this and more on “Prime.”
