This comes as companies like retail giant Amazon consider adding Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to their accepted forms of payment. Cathy Hackl, tech futurist and CEO of The Futures Intelligent Group, joins "Start Your Day" with Mike Hill and Lauren McCoy to break down bitcoin and what it means for the average consumer. Hackl says the dollars we currently use are in a physical form and are regulated by the government. With cryptocurrency, it is a digital currency that uses a blockchain to make payments. "You kind of don't need intermediaries of banks," she says.
