However, Native Americans have the country's highest vaccination rate in comparison to any other major ethnic group, according to the Los Angeles Times. Indigenous tribe leaders and medical experts took action by urging people to get vaccinated and reminding them the infection was taking their lives 2.5 times the rate than white Americans.
Native Americans are 24% more likely than whites to be fully vaccinated, 31% more likely than Latinos, 64% more likely than African Americans and 11% more likely than Asian Americans, according to the CDC.
