Descendants of the Tuskegee Experiment have taken part in a campaign to educate people about the truth of the experiment.
“The tragedy of that Syphilis study was that Black men were denied access to the treatment that would have saved their lives,” Tuckson says. “It makes no sense for Black people today to deny themselves access to the vaccine that will save their lives.”
