He moved out of the executive mansion in Albany, New York last week, but he left his dog Captain behind. In 2018, Cuomo adopted the Shepherd Siberian mix and before he moved out of the mansion, asked several staff members if they wanted to keep the dog, according to the Times Union.
A Cuomo spokesperson said that Captain is part of his family and was only trying to get someone to take the dog temporarily since he's planning to take a vacation shortly after his resignation.
