J.J. Green was on the roof of the Voice of America building in Washington, D.C., as he watched smoke coming from the Pentagon, which was just after a colleague informed him that a plane struck the World Trade Center.
He has been covering national security issues for CBS Radio for over a decade and now is a national security correspondent for WTOP Radio.
