A panel of judges in North Carolina has blocked the state's voter ID law, stating that it discriminates against Black residents.
The 2-1 ruling supports evidence that the law, which was made in 2018, “enacted in part for a discriminatory purpose, and wouldn't have been enacted in its current form, but for its tendency to discriminate against African American voters.”
