COVID-19 cases in children have skyrocketed in recent weeks. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, 5.17 million kids have been infected with the disease since the start of the pandemic.
“Health officials say the number of children with Covid is lower in states with high vaccination rates,” LaNier says.
In other news, a San Francisco Federal Court jury ruled that car company Tesla must pay $137 million to a former Black employee stemming from a racial harassment case.
