Black women in the U.S. are more likely to die from breast cancer than other groups.
“I think the biggest issues are the access to care... There’s a disparity in terms of how easy it is for them to see their primary care physician; they may not have the ability to get there because of transportation; they don’t have doctors in their neighborhoods,” Dr. Somani says.
