UN officials confirmed that at least nine national staff members remain in detention now, while Ethiopian authorities have arrested more than 70 contracted drivers from the World Food Programme and other aid agencies, in the capital of the Afar region, which borders Tigray.
In Kenya, more than two million people are running low on food and water. The devastation has led to the deaths of thousands of farm animals, further putting Kenyans who depend on the livestock at risk of hunger.
