8:10Now PlayingCongresswoman Shontel Brown signed off on the largest infrastructure plan the United States has seen in more than a decade. The monumental vote came only 48 hours after Brown was sworn in to represent Ohio’s 11th District.
The nation shifting infrastructure plan is a $1.2 trillion package that will allot money to public transportation, highway, road and bridge repair and for drinking water systems. A $9 billion portion of the package will go to Ohio for the same reasons.
“Voting on that bill was everything,” Brown said. “It was exactly what I campaigned on. I told the people of the 11th Congressional District if they’ll send me to Washington, I will work on delivering results.”
