5:56Now PlayingThe survivors of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre are still searching for justice a century later, and a judge is set to decide if they can sue for damages.
Damario Solomon-Simmons, lawyers of the three survivors, said they are all still waiting for justice. One of the survivors recently celebrated his 107th birthday.
Solomon-Simmons said he and his team are working with the Department of Justice to ignite a criminal investigation into the Tulsa Race Massacre 100 years later.
On May 30, 1921, 19-year-old Dick Rowland, a Black shoe shiner, was accused of attacking a 17-year-old white woman named Sarah Page inside an elevator of a high-rise in downtown Tulsa, setting off a deadly riot.
